Walter Myrick is 9 years old and has never been able to meet his twin brother, but that has never stopped him from telling him everything.
Unfortunately, Walter’s twin died in his mother’s womb due to a rare disease that affects the placenta, called TTTS. After he died, the family continued to visit his grave regularly.
Five years ago, Walter’s mother, Brook, took a photo of her son sitting at his brother’s grave, telling him all about what he had done that day. She says that Walter, as soon as the car stopped, ran alone to have a moment when he and his brother were alone: “He feels that his brother is watching over him, he always felt that.”
The whole family visits Willis’s grave, but on this day it seems to have been something special: “It gave me a sense of peace when I saw how strong his relationship still has with his brother.”
Looking at Walter at his brother’s grave, he finally made Brook cry, “Of course, it saddens me.” I knew he would always make me sad as soon as I found out he was dead. ”
Brook also says that the family brings small toys to his grave. Although Walter never met Willis, Walter will always have a strong connection with him.
Here is a clip in which Walter talks about the fact that he still feels his brother watching over him:
